Gregory Walter, NP
Greg Walter is a nurse practitioner who trained at Yale University and has been practicing since 2018. He and his wife lived in Kodiak for four years, where Greg worked as a primary care provider at the native health center. Before becoming an NP, he was a social worker for six years, and then an oncology nurse for two years. He and his family love living in rural Alaska.
Thomas Peterson, FNP
Although he calls Texas home, working in Alaska has always been on Thomas’ bucket list. Working at IFHS has allowed him to check that one off! Some of the things he loves about Unalaska are how friendly everyone is, meeting many different people, and the beauty of the location.
The desire to serve in rural healthcare led Thomas to earn his BSN from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He then went on to earn his MSN and DPN from Rocky Mountain University of Healthcare Professionals.
